A New Chapter Begins at Tau Farm
There’s something special about old places with stories woven into their walls. The kind of places where mornings arrive slowly, where birdsong replaces traffic, and where nature quietly reminds you to breathe a little deeper. That’s exactly what drew us to Tau Farm
— and why becoming the new owners feels less like buying a property and more like becoming caretakers of something meaningful.
When we first arrived at Tau Farm, we immediately saw the potential hidden beneath the darkened timber, quiet pathways, and untouched views. The cabins had charm — the kind that can’t be manufactured
— but they were ready for a new season of life.
We knew we wanted to preserve the soul of the farm while thoughtfully reimagining the spaces into places where guests could truly reconnect, relax, and unwind.
Our vision for the cabins is simple: understated comfort, natural textures, light & breezy and spaces that feel connected to the land around them. We’re embracing lighter woods, earthy tones, with attention to detail in all areas.
Every change we make is being done with intention
— not to erase the history of the Farm, but to honour it while creating something fresh and welcoming for future guests.
Over the coming months, the cabins will slowly transform. Decks will become places for sunrise coffees and evening conversations around the fire. Interiors will feel lighter, calmer, and more connected to nature. Outdoor spaces are being freshened up to encourage rest, reflection, and the simple joy of being outdoors again.
One thing that will never change, though, is the feeling that makes Tau Farm special. The stillness. The quiet. The sense of escape. We want every guest who visits to leave feeling a little more rested than when they arrived.
As new owners, this journey is both exciting and deeply personal. There’s a lot of hard work ahead, but there’s also so much joy in breathing new life into a place with so much character. We can’t wait to share the process with you
— the renovations, the small details, the setbacks, the progress, and eventually, the finished spaces ready to welcome guests.
Tau Farm is entering a new chapter, and we’re incredibly grateful to be the ones writing it.
Here’s to slow mornings, crackling fires, star-filled skies, and creating a place where people can reconnect with nature.
— and themselves
— once again.
The Wilsons xx
