Lioness Rest
She doesn’t ask for noise, she asks for space, firelight and still mornings.
The lioness rests here...
Lioness Rest is an intimate and romantic hideaway created for stillness, serenity, and quiet escape.
Surrounded by natural beauty and elevated among the trees, this charming cabin offers a peaceful retreat where guests can unwind, reconnect, and embrace the slower rhythm of farm life.
Thoughtfully designed with warm interiors, a private veranda, outdoor boma, and tranquil bushveld surroundings, Lioness Rest captures the essence of comfort and calm.
From sunrise coffees to evenings spent beneath the stars, every moment here is designed to feel intentional, restful, and unforgettable.
Ideal for couples seeking a romantic escape, anniversary retreat, or simply time away from the noise of everyday life.
One bedroom & one bathroom cabin.
There is something about the bushveld that makes you slow down.
Lioness Rest is being created as a peaceful little escape for two — a place to leave the noise behind, breathe a little deeper and simply enjoy being surrounded by nature.
Tucked away on Tau Farm, this cosy retreat is designed for those moments when you don't need a busy itinerary.
Just a beautiful setting, good company and the sounds of the bushveld around you.
And while Lioness Rest isn't quite ready to welcome guests just yet, we couldn't resist giving you a little sneak peek...
The finishing touches are underway, and we're getting closer.
Almost ready...We'd love to say that Lioness Rest is ready to welcome its first guests.but there is just one small thing standing in the way...Bruno The Bundu Dog.
Our very enthusiastic four-legged resident has strong opinions about personal boundaries — particularly when those boundaries involve fences.
So before we open our doors, we're putting the right fencing in place to make sure Bruno can safely enjoy his farm while our guests can enjoy theirs....Because Tau Farm is our home too, we want to get these details right rather than rush the process.
So, for now, Lioness Rest remains our little work in progress. And we're enjoying watching it all come together. We promise it will be worth the wait.
