Tau farm is located in a 300-hectare conservancy with a magnificent nature reserve home to a variety of wildlife, including antelopes, zebras, and wildebeest.

Perched on stilts, giving the sense of being in the treetops, Tau Farm Lodge is a unique and exclusive retreat that offers visitors breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Your spirit will be nourished by a stay in the African savannah.

Our lovely home is situated in a conservancy that borders the Dinokeng Game Reserve, the only Big Five reserve in the province of Gauteng.

Dinokeng means "a place of rivers." Dinokeng Reserve expands over 20,000 hectares. It is the only Big Five Game Reserve in Gauteng and is a malaria-free area. They are recognised and supported by national conservation authorities and are considered best-practice management for their cheetah. They have self-drive and game drive options.

The Dinokeng gate is only 12kms away from our farm.

We are so pleased to share our little piece of the bushveld with you.

We are old in wisdom but young at heart and recently married—enjoying this new chapter of life together with gratitude and joy.

Family is at the centre of everything for us. Between us, we have three daughters and three beautiful grandchildren who keep life full of laughter and energy.

And of course, our fur baby Bruno is never far away—he proudly takes his role as farm greeter very seriously.

Tau Farm is something very close to our hearts.

We’ve created it as a place where people can slow down, breathe, and reconnect—with nature, with loved ones, and with themselves.

We are very hands-on in everything we do, and we’ve put care into making sure the farm feels warm, relaxed, and welcoming.

We love the simple things in life

—early mornings with coffee in the fresh air, the sounds of the bush coming alive, and evenings around a fire under a sky full of stars.
